Last week a local farmer pushed out a section of woodlot and made a HUGE brush pile which he the proceded to BURN!!!!!!! Just out of the village limits and the smoke and ash drifted right across my property. The black walnut trees have been dripping sap like I've never seen and with the wind the sap found my trailer and then with the wind shift the soot and ash found the sap!!!!!!!! What a freaking mess. I just scrubbed and sealed that roof less than a month ago and today I spent over 3 hours scrubbing it again. Now I'll have to seal it again. The crap wouldn't come off with a brush I had to use heavy duty scotch brite with simple green. Then I had to wash the entire trailer, I haven't opened the awning yet I fear the worst from the roof washing. The outside role was disgusting. BTW, did I mention that I was PI$$ED? I called the farmer and explained how much work he had generated for me. I mentioned having a mobile service come in and clean it and send him the bill to soften him up then told him I needed $50 for my efforts to which he agreed. If I had known I was going to have to use the scrub pad I would have doubled it. I'm not a happy camper. OH Yeah, it started raining before I got done so I got soaked in the process, too. I have to say that sucks!!!!!!!! BUT...from the pictures it looks like you have done a great job scrubbing and it will sure be squeaky damn clean when you're done. Sorry you got wet... The LEAST he owes you is $50! You should call the EPA on him in the meantime....

Sorry dude. I feel your pain. We have a firebug neighbor that is an idiot that waits until he hears us cleaning something and it never friggin fails. He always runs out to start his outdoor fireplace to burn a stick or two. I think that is his bull $*it attempt to clean his yard. I swear to God, the next time the wind is blowing our way, I'm going to pull out my commercial fan and send it back his way! The dumba$$ has already had to call the FD 3 times since he's been here for one reason or another and he has an entire walk-in closet filled with illegal fireworks. I'm waiting for him to send his house and mine sky high one day!

When you coming:) Seriously that does suck!! I wouldn't call the EPA...........they may tell you the run off from cleaning it is bad.............but i would hit the neighbor up for more for my trouble..............and to at least let me know next time so i could through a tarp over it!!

I'm liking the offers. Now if they include my gas to tow the trailer there I'm game. That would be a heck of a road trip. MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm Steak and seafood. Now this farmer is really an agri-buisinessman. He owns and rents property all over the county. His home is over 10 miles away. I was actually very calm and polite with him on the phone(surprisingly). I could sympathize with his problem that the wind shifted after starting the burn, but, the weather forcast probably would have given him a clue that it would happen. oh well, I've chilled now. I will seal the roof tomorrow.

That is out of control. I can't believe that was burning trees that did that.

I would think that he would have had to have a burn permit - from the county if he's not within village limits...but if his smoke/mess landed in village limits, maybe the town honchos and/or the FD might have something to say about it. Jeez. Your roof looks terrific now, though!

"The crap wouldn't come off with a brush I had to use heavy duty scotch brite with simple green." Sounds like you had no choice, I was always told soft brush and dish soap otherwise it will damage your roof, The rood looks great, did the scotch brite do anything to the rubber, What do you seal it with when your done?

Scotch brite didn't harm the surface and did clean the gunk off. I use Rubber Shield to seal it. This is where I get it from. I really like the look of the roof after using it. http://www.rvroofing.com/products.htmlBob
