Probably not many folks pay attention but the US won the Hockey Gold Medal in both the Under 17 World Championships and the International Junior Championships earlier this evening. The latter is under 20 years old. They beat Canada in both . Next year the Junior Championships are in Buffalo NY. Think I might go. Get this the leading 2 scorers in the entire championship were both from the US. That is against the Canadians, Russians , Swedes, Czechs the whole shooting match.

Here in Northern NJ Hockey is huge. Most of the white kids see that only the African Americans play Basketball so the white kids say crap I'll play hockey. Sad but very, very true. They have eyes and feelings and that is what they see.

I saw that they won!!! I also had a fella from toronto sitting in front of me tonight at the flyers game ......who also was very well aware of the juniors Gold

In a few years plenty of them will be there. Actually last year's team had more talent or skill but always fear the mudders in single elimination tournaments. The guys who give you 110% everynight is what gets it done.

Of this junior team, most are already drafted by the NHL are playing on AHL teams or on college teams.
