I wish I could be with everybody there however I am sitting in a hotel in Ashland, Virginia with Caleb and Shaymus just the 3 of us. We are going to the Boy Scout Jamboree! The plan was to tow the OB the 950 miles but the temps are in the high 90s to 105. Vicki said with temp like that she may as well stay home because Gillian and Ryan should not be out in temps like that. So we took the Prius getting 42 mpg. I have filled the 10 gal. tank twice, quite a difference from towing!  So do us a favor think of us while ridding all the roller coasters at Cedar Point! Have a great time!

We made it home around 6 pm tonight. No traffic and smooth sailing!

We just had one hiccup at the beginning...

We left on Sunday morning from our family reunion heading to the rally and made it about 2 hrs into the trip when my fuel pump decided to die. We had to get a wrecker for the burb and my Dad came and rescued our camper with his Freightliner. We spent 2 hrs in the hot sun on the side of the busy freeway waiting. Because it was Sunday there was no mechanic to do the fix and we had to spend the night at the auto repair shop with a nice view of a junkyard for our enjoyment. The shop was nice and let us plug in electric and gave us a loaner car to use for the day. The repair (a new GM fuel pump and filter) was done on the next day so we had a 24 hour delay and a $550 bill. Undecided

Once we got this behind us our trip was absolutely perfect! The week was a blast and it went WAY too fast. The weather was almost perfect, the food was awesome and the company was the best! We had a very full and exciting day at cedar point, enjoyed a round of golf, did lots of swimming and activities at the campground, toured an antique copper factory and just totally enjoyed the company of our camping buds hanging out around the fire nightly! All the kids had a blast and they did so many activities (including a chocolate slip-n-slide ROFL).

We were talking about doing next years JCF Rally a little further east so maybe more of our friends on here can join in because we missed all of you and were thinking about everyone this past week!

Thanks Jim, Katrina, Bob and Joann for such an enjoyable week, we cant wait to do it again!!!

Rob & Colleen

We are home safe and sound.
Got a phone call from rubrhammer this afternoon that he was home and all setup in his new fulltime campsite.
Couldn't have had a better time with you guys.
The kids really stayed busy even when we were just sitting in the campground.... from the glo-stick parade to the fire truck rides to the chocolate slip and slide to the tye-dyed T-shirts.....  they wore me out just watching them.

I can't wait for the next trip.

Ah yes I am home(wherever I am these days). I spent last night in the parking  lot behind my old appartment dry camping. I had plans to play at a contemporary mass this morning and that was close to the church so it worked  out fine. I no more than got set up and got my pot of stew going and got invited out for a round of golf and dinner and I just got home from that.
I had an absolute blast of a time at the rally! The company was far and away the best part of it. For those that haven't done a rally yet this is something you have to put on the top of your to do list. I hope it isn't a full year till we get all together again. I know I'll see Jim and his family this fall I just wish there was a way Rob and crew could join us. Thanks to both of your families for making me feel such a part of yours, it really touched me.

Glad to hear you all had a good time.  I wish we had been able to make it but it won't work.  We are out right now, Hagerstown MD Jellystone campground, this would be a good place for a rally.  Nice waterslide for the kids, two pools, hiking trails and the part that the women would like...there is a shopping area down the road that has a good mix of stores.

Glad you had a good time guys. I had to keep it a bit closer to home this year. Work has been relentless. I haven't been this busy in 5 years. When I drove up I was on the phone most of the way and had to check how things were going at night.

Look at how tall those kids have gotten.  Another couple of years and you all will be standing in front of them.  Good looking group.  Glad you all had fun.  Sorry we missed it.
